The MICHELIN Guide Turkey's The 2026 election is on December 4, 2025 Announced in Istanbul. In addition to Istanbul, Izmir, and Mugla, the selection also covers Cappadocia this year. What changed in Bodrum in 2026?
The number of venues in Bodrum on the list dropped from 26 to 21, but they rose in the higher categories:
- Mezra Yalıkavak received a star. Last year it was in the “selected” category, in 2026 it was promoted to one star. The number of starred restaurants in Bodrum increased from two to three.
- Orfoz received the Green Star. One of the Green Stars awarded to only four restaurants across Turkey in 2026 came to Bodrum.
- Bağarası has been promoted to Bib Gourmand. It was on the selected list last year.
- Mandalya has just entered the list — directly as a Bib Gourmand. In Güvercinlik.
- Hodan Yalıkavak newly added to the selected restaurants.
- No Bodrum restaurants lost a star. Maçakızı and Kitchen retained their stars.

Mezra Yalıkavak ★ · Green Star
Dirmil Neighborhood, Yalıkavak. Chef Serhat Doğramacı. The new star of 2026 and also a Green Star holder. Its kitchen is built on protected Turkish products and traditional cooking techniques: open fire, brining, fermentation. The dish highlighted by Michelin inspectors is the combination of salted bonito and red pepper with fresh and fermented strawberry. In the dining room, there is seating in front of the tandoor oven and marble counter. On the sustainability side, an heirloom seed bank, water conservation, and renewable energy practices are noted. @mezra.yalikavak
Maçakızı ★
Göltürkbükü Neighborhood, Keleşharim Street. Chef Aret Sahakyan. It keeps its star. The hotel restaurant, situated on the slope overlooking the bay, features modern cuisine. The inspector's note specifically mentions the grilled sea bream enriched with smoked fish bound with butter. @macakizihotel
Kitchen by Osman Sezener ★
Dirmil Neighborhood, Balyek Street — Inside The Bodrum EDITION. Chef Osman Sezener. It is keeping its star. Michelin describes the cuisine as “an original and cosmopolitan take on Turkish cuisine”; with dishes that prioritize local ingredients and are consciously simple. @kitchenbodrum
Green Star (2)
Green Star, not the kitchen quality sustainability practices rewards. As of 2026, it exists in 13 restaurants in Turkey; two of them are in Bodrum.
- Mezra Yalıkavak — It has held the Green Star since 2025. Ancestral seed bank, water conservation, renewable energy.
- Grouper — The new Green Star of 2026. Geographical indication products and the preservation of genetic diversity are cited as reasons.
Bib Gourmand restaurants (5)
Bib Gourmand is the category that rewards the price-quality balance. It is not below a star, but a different criterion.

19 Mayis Avenue, Guvercinlik. It entered the list anew in 2026. In a fishing village, by the sea, a stone house and its terrace. Mezes are displayed on the counter; the sea bass with olive oil, vinegar, and whole black peppercorns is one of the standouts. @mandalyabalik
Bağarası · Bitez
Pınarlı Street, Bitez. It was promoted from Bib Gourmand to selected in 2026. It is known for its changing selection of mezes at the counter and its homemade mantı. Its backstreet location inside a tangerine orchard is a reason in itself. @bagarasi_restaurant
Authentic Ocakbasi · Central Bodrum
Atatürk Avenue. Grill and wood-fired oven at the entrance, terrace opening to the street in the back. Signature dish is the mixed grill; dry-aged meat is also available. Inside the bazaar, a Bib Gourmand for three years. @otantikocakbasi

Delisted in 2026
Seven Bodrum restaurant was not included in the 2026 selection. Michelin does not disclose the reasons for removal:
- Two Boats — Lost its Bib Gourmand and dropped off the list
- Isola Manzara, Kornél, Malva, Lucca by the Sea, Oro by Alfredo Russo, Dereköy Lokantası — dropped from the selected list
Some people still look at old lists and visit these addresses; most of the venues are still open, they just aren't in the 2026 selection.
What do the Michelin star, Bib Gourmand, and Green Star mean?
- ★ One star — very good cuisine in its category, worth a stop.
- ★★ Two stars — a cuisine worth changing your route for. There are two restaurants in Turkey, and neither of them is in Bodrum.
- Bib Gourmand - quality-price balance. Good food below a set price limit.
- Green Star — sustainability. It is awarded independently of culinary quality; even a non-starred restaurant can receive it.
- Selected — restaurants that the inspectors deemed worthy of inclusion in the guide. They do not have a separate symbol, but making the list is an elimination in itself.
Reservations and practical information
All three three-star restaurants operate on a reservation basis, and in July and August, tables are booked up days in advance. Since Maçakızı and Kitchen are located inside hotels, they depend on the hotels' seasons; Mezra Yalıkavak operates independently.
The situation is different on the Bib Gourmand side: places inside the bazaar like Otantik Ocakbaşı and Arka can often be entered without a reservation on most evenings, but it is still wise to call ahead for the weekend. Bağarası and Beynel in Bitez get packed on summer evenings.
Note: Some addresses on the Michelin list are located inside hotels, marinas, or residential compounds. Sait and Zuma are in Yalıkavak Marina, Hakkasan is at Mandarin Oriental, Barbarossa is at Caresse, and Kitchen is at The Bodrum EDITION. Know this so you won't be surprised at the gate when heading to the address.

No. Zuma Bodrum only operates between May and October; most locations within the hotel depend on the hotel's season. Locations in Bodrum center and Konacık tend to be open year-round.
