Bodrum fish restaurants on the 2026 MICHELIN list

The MICHELIN Guide's 2026 Turkey selection was announced on December 4, 2025. There are four addresses from Bodrum that made the list in the seafood category:

  • Grouper (Kumbahçe) — selected restaurant and Green Star. In 2026, the Green Star was awarded to only four restaurants across Turkey.
  • Sait (Yalıkavak Marina) — selected restaurant.
  • Orchid Fish (Göltürkbükü) — selected restaurant.
  • Mandalya (Güvercinlik) — 2026’s new Bib Gourmand, meaning the quality-price balance award.

Attention: İki Sandal was a Bib Gourmand in 2025, but it is not in the 2026 selection. The venue is open; it is just not on the list. Those who go by looking at old guides should not be misled. For the full list To our Bodrum Michelin guide You can take a look.

Raki and fish: Where is it served?

In Bodrum, raki and fish are in a category all their own. If what you’re looking for is a meal that lasts a while, with a mezze bar, and where you’re not rushed, the places to go are different:

  • The Bazaar and Kumbahçe — Berk Balık, Mezemore, and Gemibaşı are the classics of this scene. There’s a wide variety of meze, and the meal goes on for a long time.
  • Gümüşlük — Gümüşlük Balık Evi and Bahçe are the places that most closely resemble a traditional Gümüşlük meyhane. The tables are right by the water.
  • Göltürkbüku — Atılay and Orkide Balık operate a large mezze counter.
  • Bitez and Turgutreis — Casual spots like Balıkçı İsmet, Köşem Balık, and Hülya’nın Yeri are more affordable.

Which fish in which month?

Most people who visit Bodrum in the summer eat sea bream and sea bass—because summer isn’t the best season for fish in the Aegean. The peak season for fish is From September to April It is lying down.

  • Spring–summer: Lighter varieties. Sea bream, sea bass, red sea bream, red mullet. Seafood (octopus, squid, shrimp) is plentiful year-round.
  • Fall–Winter: Fatty and meaty fish. Bluefish, bonito, young sea bream, and horse mackerel. Prices are also falling.

So coming to Bodrum in October is better than in the summer when it comes to fish—the fish are better, and the restaurants aren’t as crowded.
